Incredible food and service. I’d recommend heading out here on the weekend. The gnocchi is beautifully light and flavoursome. Delicious the people are really lovely too. Thank you for our wonderfully relaxing lunch out. Plenty of vegetarian options too which is much appreciated. Open Sat-Mon now I believe.

It is not often I tear up over a meal but it happened this morning to not just myself, but to my surprise, a second patron. We stumbled across this place before it's closing on one day and had access only to the 'dregs' as the kitchen had closed and so all there was left was the Polpette sandwich. Traditionally a ranking out of 10 cannot begin at 10 but it would be inaccurate to give the sandwich anything lower. To me sandwiches can take me higher or crush me lower than many other dishes but today I soared with Bright's residential rosellas. The bread was perfect, the sauce used clearly a rich 'nonna' speciality in which you could taste the patience used to cook it down. Perhaps most important of all was the care taken in the cheese. Cheese is so often the failure of a sandwich. Often a cheaper cheese is used, after all who can tell when it's melted, but it shows. There was a dual layer of strong bitey cheese with one layer remaining beneath the polpette and the second layer an ablative blanket on top exposed to the searing heat of a grill until it begun to melt perfectly into the sauce in some areas and further crisp in others with the bread carefully returned to encase the entire thing. We unilaterally decided to return for breakfast. As fates would have it, the days Sale e pepe are open coincided with our final day leading me to consider that there might be such a thing as divine intervention after all. For breakfast we ordered a spread of Arancini, breakfast rolls, biscotti, cakes and coffee and if the prior day was a 10, today would need to be rated as an 11 to inform readers of this review adequately. I am not exaggerating that my eyes begun to water with the beginnings of a tearful emotional surge as the textures and flavours of my first bite of sfogliatella began to make themselves known. 11/10, count yourself lucky and come with a empty stomach if you are fortunate enough to go through bright when Sale e pepe is open.

What a little GEM! I read the reviews and was reccomended to come here from the place we are staying at. Wowee! The gnocchi was so soft, fluffy and light. The sauce was delicious and the Parmesan on top ! Hubby had the cotoletta Di polo panini and it was delectable, a friend had the minestrone and the lasagne. I tried a mouthful of the minestrone and was in soup envy! My son had the chocolate cake and it did not disappoint. The service was great and the place was inviting, staff were friendly. Can’t fault the place and their food! Oh and the latte was hot and perfect! Must try.
